What to do with the new Cambridge Satchel with a worn out strap? :"(?

Recently I have purchased a Cambridge satchel from ASOS. Everything was fine until I used it once. The right strap got cracks on the first, second and third holes. The whole strap is much softer than the left one. I was using it in a gentle way so I have no idea why it worn out that fast. Now I can't fasten the right buckle as I afraid the whole strap will broke very soon. Is there any ways this problem can be solved? :(
