Where in the Bible does it say that eating large amounts of food is a sin?

Or is it a Catholic teaching? Catholics love to add things that aren't even in the Bible such as purgatory, turning to priests for forgiveness, praying to statues, worshiping marry even though the Bible never said to worship marry.
