How to not give in to bullys?

so im starting this new school in August , i dont know anyone who goes there or anything , i want to make a good first impression not that im going to like cool and stuff i just want to make a impression that im not gonna take any **** from other people you know? i dont want to be the "new kid that always gets picked on" i just want to be like any other normal person . So have u guys got any tips? Thanks . and the school is in ely , cambridge just to let u know
