A question about the movie Beneath the Dark?

Okay I understand the end of the movie, Paul was in some kind of purgatory for the effects he had on those lives then he had to pass it on to the next people to be free. but what I did not understand is why Frank the husband of the woman Josh raped got fired from his security job. for dressing up in womens underwear? can someone please explain?
